Ở trường trung học , Matt và Ryan là 2 người bạn rất thân, thực sự thì thân hơn cả mức tình bạn thông thường . Nhưng trong mười năm sau đó, họ đã mất liên lạc. Vì vậy, khi Matt nhận lời mời đám cưới của Ryan , anh ngạc nhiên - đặc biệt là Ryan kết hôn với một người phụ nữ ! 

Matt quyết đinh bỏ hết mọi thứ để trở về quê và có kế hoạch để giải cứu tình yêu cũ của mình từ bất cứ điều gì  .   Trong khi  Matt cố gắng để thắp lại ngọn lửa tình cảm cũ giữa hai người thì  Ryan đều dập tắt chúng đi cả . Ryan gạt bỏ mối tình cũ của họ và cho đó như  là một điều khờ dại của trường trung học, nhưng Matt nhận ra Ryan vẫn có thể là tình yêu của cuộc đời mình .

[Online] Snails in the Rain (2013)[Eng Sub]

 

Những gì tôi yêu thích về bộ phim này  là cách nó xử lý với bản chất của tình dục trong một đấu trường rất màu xám (ấy là cuộc sống). Boaz là người đồng tính? Chỉ đơn giản là anh ta muốn  đặt ra câu hỏi đó cho chính mình? Những hành động trong quá khứ của bạn có thể xác định tương lai của bạn hay ko? 

Snails in the Rain is beautifully shot with a very strong cast. It deals with the confusion of sexuality and repression in a very creative way, ‘peeling the onion’ of discovery both for the audience and the characters.

It’s inevitable that some of you may doubt you’d enjoy watching a film with subtitles, but the Hebrew language is a beautiful thing with very different inclinations to English. This only enhances the actors performance and doesn’t hinder the film in any way. In fact I feel it heightens it, for as Boaz feels he has been put under the microscope, connecting with the visual rather than the language forces us as the viewer to aid in putting him there.

Darren can't sleep because of the happily married gay couple upstairs. He can hear them having sex through his apartment's air ducts. Like, a lot of sex, every night. He tries to ignore it at first, but soon becomes obsessed with the suspicion that one of them is having an affair.
